Who are we and what are we doing anyway?
 We are Mark, Kim and Katie Castle, from Rocklin, California. We will be travelling in our motorhome from November 2004 until November 2005 (we hope), seeing the United States and some of Canada. And we'll occasionally be playing the lottery, so we can possibly extend the trip to include the rest of the world.

Why are we doing this?
 Sure, we could spend the equity in our house doing sensible things like adding a shaded patio, paying for Katie's college, starting a business or maybe going back to school. Hey, those sound pretty good. Maybe we'll turn around and head back.

I guess you could say that we hit that midlife point where some folks need to step back and look at where they are, and we just wanted to step way back. And take advantage of Katie still being only 3 (no school to miss), and our friends agreeing to rent our house, and Mark's employer agreeing to let him take the time away. Mark will work from the road as much as he comfortably can (via email & Autocad), but we'll focus on really enjoying this opportunity to see the country.

How do I use the website?
 You already figured out the buttons--just click on "email Katie" to email her, for instance. To see where we've been, just click on the blue dots showing where we've stayed. Hopefully, windows will pop up showing diary entries and pictures of our trip.

I hope you will enjoy our site and that you will email us or call us (see below) if we will be near you, or if you would like to meet us someplace. Our possible projected route is the grey line, but no doubt it will change. We don't have an itinerary, but we will be in St. Augustine for Christmas, at Kim's brother's house: David Birchim, 135 South Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084. We'll be there from December 23 to January 5.
