Didn't sleep too well, then woke up about 7am and got going. We have 270 miles to go to get to Spokane, and that's a long-ish day for us (6 hours of driving, including gas and lunch) but we'd like to get further toward Portland, because it's 350 miles from Spokane to Portland, and we want to arrive tomorrow. The sun is out and the roads are nice and clear, not too much traffic; we should make good time.
The drive from West Glacier to Idaho was really pretty in places, with mountains on both sides of us as we rode alongside the Clarkfort river. I took only one picture, though, of these folks learning how to kayak:
We made good time, so we kept driving when we got to Spokane, and drove another 130 miles, to the Washington-Oregon border. At about 400 miles for the day, Mark thinks it's our longest driving day of the trip.
The campground here in Kennewick has a heated indoor pool and hot tub, nice level sites, cable tv, and they put us right near the laundry and the garbage can. I could almost live here. We did laundry, swam, bought groceries, even went wine tasting nearby. We got a lot done today. Maybe it was the extra hour we had from driving into Pacific Time.

Today we drive to Portland. Mark and I are both excited at the thought of finding a downtown apartment.
