Unfortunately, it also felt very Vegas-y when we were constantly offered playbills for girls-girls-girls.
Don't they think the stroller and the wife might be a hint that we're not interested?
Tuesday we visited with Karen Olson's folks, Barbara and Bud. They are great people, and
he impressed me as a great garage-saler, and has furnished parts of their home with his finds,
after their house burned two years ago.
Today we are bound for southern Utah and the national parks there. Zion should be
first. It will be nice to be in the canyons and trees (and far away from the guys trying to
peddle girls-girls-girls on the streetcorners).
We stayed at Circus Circus RV parkinglot (I mean park) in Vegas. It rained the night
we arrived, but was clear while we walked about 23 miles
up and down the strip and through the casinos. Won a fish and a white tiger for
Katie at Circus Circus' midway (I wonder if it is
supposed to represent the one who gnawed on Roy?--I didn't mention
that to Katie). Ate a great cheeseburger and had amazing napkins at Jimmy Buffett's
Margaritaville (the margarita helped too). Our favorite free thing by far was the lighted fountain
outside the Bellagio, where we got to see "Luck be a Lady Tonight" and dance on the sidewalk
(while Katie watched, unimpressed, from her stroller) and feel very Vegas-y.
